Monitoring Teaching and Learning without Grading Lessons

AIM: This course will enable delegates to be able to devise a non-grading system of
professional development in their school. It is aimed at looking to transform the
culture of your school and create an open, reflective developmental culture of
support and collaboration.

  • Explore effective observation feedback & pro-forma’s
  • Explore effective marking monitoring techniques and useful feedback
  • Consider using coaching as part of the professional development programme
  • Consider progress within and beyond a lesson
  • Develop a mind shift on how to observe and develop teaching & learning
  • Work in groups to explore pros & cons of grading lessons
  • Work in pairs looking at effective non-grading systems of monitoring marking,
    observations and progress of students.
  • Collate a range of teaching & learning techniques, coach each other
  • Develop their own tailored non-grading system for their school

Cost will be £100 for the first delegate and £75 for the second delegate
